TRICORE AND RHODES GROUP ANNOUNCE

 CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER APPOINTMENTS


ALBUQUERQUE, NEW MEXICO – December 22, 2020 — TriCore Reference Laboratories, New Mexico’s non-profit clinical laboratory, and Rhodes Group, a healthcare information technology and services company based in Albuquerque, NM, announce the appointments of Ella Watt as TriCore Chief Financial Officer, effective November 16, 2020, and Renee Ennis as Rhodes Group Chief Financial Officer, effective January 1, 2021.


Ella Watt Joins TriCore Reference Laboratories

“I am pleased to welcome Ella Watt to our executive team. Her vast financial experience and expertise is equaled by her exceptional leadership,” says Dr. Michael Crossey, TriCore CEO. As CFO, she will provide leadership for TriCore’s accounting and finance teams, financial planning and analysis.


Ms. Watt is an established financial leader in the New Mexico healthcare community. Most recently she served as Executive Director, Finance Operations for Presbyterian Hospital and previously as CFO for University of New Mexico Hospital.


Renee Ennis Joins Rhodes Group

“Renee Ennis’ deep and extensive financial experience will take Rhodes Group to the next level and I am excited to have her leadership. She has a strong understanding of the Rhodes Group services and will be a great contributor to our team,” says James Brown, Rhodes Group CEO. As CFO, she will lead the financial operations and revenue services program as well as drive operational changes in the sales programs.


Ms. Ennis has previously served as TriCore Reference Laboratories’ CFO, and with Presbyterian Healthcare Services where she served as Vice President and CFO of PDS, overseeing revenue cycle, finance, accounting, network contracting and supply chain operations.

Technology is advancing by leaps and bounds, and manufacturers release new point-of-care testing (POCT) devices almost daily. As news of a novel technology spreads, requests from hospitals, provider offices, urgent care sites, and other locations increase. Likewise, when the public becomes aware of the possibilities of faster testing, people start to expect that when they visit their provider or any other healthcare site, they’ll be able to get results and necessary treatment immediately. With emerging POCT devices, the days of hospital-based glucose and urine dipstick testing being the only tests available at patient bedside are in the past.

Database shows NM health care facilities receiving COVID-19 relief funds

A new federal database is giving a look at which New Mexico hospitals and health care providers received federal funding related to the coronavirus. The database published on the CDC’s website lists over 1,100 different New Mexico entities that received CARES Act aid funding under the federal Health and Human Services Provider Relief Fund.
