TRICORE’S CHIEF SCIENTIFIC OFFICER PRESIDENT, AMERICAN ASSOCIATION FOR CLINICAL CHEMISTRY (AACC) BOARD OF DIRECTORS
ALBUQUERQUE, NEW MEXICO – August 4, 2020 — TriCore Reference Laboratories, New Mexico’s non-profit clinical laboratory, is pleased to announce David Grenache, PhD, TriCore’s Chief Scientific Officer, as the president of the American Association for Clinical Chemistry (AACC) Board of Directors.
Beginning in January 2019, Dr. Grenache served as president-elect for the AACC and will now serve as president through July 2021. He will continue as past-president from August 2021-July 2022. The AACC is a global scientific and medical professional organization “dedicated to clinical laboratory science and its application to healthcare.” The organization is recognized around the world as an industry leader in education and advocacy, as well as a facilitator for collaboration within the laboratory community. Dr. Grenache has served in various leadership roles for AACC over the years, making him a natural choice to lead the organization.
“It is truly a great honor to serve as the AACC president,” said Dr. Grenache. “Never before has the value of lab medicine in healthcare seen the level of awareness as it does presently. I wish to capitalize on that awareness and help drive home wide-spread recognition of the value of lab medicine.”
Not only is this an important step for Dr. Grenache, but for TriCore as well. As president of AACC, Dr. Grenache brings national and international visibility to TriCore and New Mexico, spotlighting the work we are doing in New Mexico as an example of how laboratory medicine professionals positively impact patient care through the delivery of actionable information.
